The Institute for Applied Logistics works on both research and industrial projects in the field of logistics, primarily in the areas of
- Sustainability, environment and transport
- Process Management
- Digitisation and Decision Support Systems
A research project is a temporary project with the aim of gaining new insights into an important or particularly topical field of research. Complex and novel questions are dealt with and the project is financed by third-party funds (research funds, public or industrial subsidies).
An industrial project, on the other hand, results from an internal problem and task that requires external expertise to be solved. On behalf of a company, the IAL develops proposals for solutions.
