Module contents
General Language Competence
The course offers an introduction to Russian. It begins with an introduction to block capitals and cursive writing of Cyrillic as well as to the peculiarity of Russia pronunciation. It moves on to the training of basic skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Moreover, the focus will be set on accurate pronunciation as the most important step for speaking and understanding Russian. The Course has an additional aim of introducing various aspects of Russian society and culture to the students.
Business Language Competence
The course provides basic and advanced knowledge of Russian business language. It deals with business vocabulary and its application and will be exercised by reading business articles and newspapers.
Learning outcomes
After successfully completing this module, the students …
- know the basic grammar of Russian
- are able to write, listen to discussions, speak and read.
- are able to discuss daily matters in Russian language in an appropriate way.
- have the competence to cope with business situations and find a suitable way of using Russian language.
